I can't get any sites to save to any of my bookmarks that I have.

When my desktop crashed, I've been resorting to using my Asus Notebook. I do a fair amount of searching, and when I find a site I like, I try to bookmark it. I just cannot get any pages to save. I know that it has to be something simple, however, I just can't figure out what I'm doing wrong. It will not save a copy at all. Any ideas???????

This can be a problem with the file places.sqlite that stores the bookmarks and the history.
