Yahoo search page keeps coming up when I open a new tab and cannot find more change options in Firefox.

I cannot change this operation. I've done searches for solutions, but so far nothing works. I prefer Google as my search engine, but the search options are set to Google. I cannot find anything in either the Firefox directories or in about:config that allows an option to change or override this that works. The only alternative I see at this point is to completely uninstall Firefox, clean out the registry and ensure all Firefox directories are deleted. But its not my preferred method of resolution. If anyone has experienced this, your fix to the problem will be most appreciated. Thanks, Lloyd Howard

I found the solution. Look in your installer program list and you will see "NetAssitant for Firefox" by Freeze.com. Uninstall this. Re-start Firefox. It should be fixed.
