How do I delete history from the small panel Firefox Start window?

When I open Firefox I am into a "Firefox Start" window with a small panel and flashing cursor. If I click on this small panel a list of "history" sites come up, some of which are personal. As other members of my family now use my laptop, I need to be able to delete these files.

Do you have that problem when running in the Firefox SafeMode? http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Safe+Mode Don't select anything right now, just use "Continue in SafeMode."

Can you attach a screenshot?

Use a compressed image type like PNG or JPG to save the screenshot and make sure that you do not exceed the maximum file size (200 KB) and do not click Preview after you have attached the image.
