thunderbird desktop icon on windows 10 does not open thunderbird

Since I got the Thunderbird upgrade version 91.2.0 on my Windows 10 PC, the Thunderbird desktop icon no longer opens Thunderbird when I press Enter on the icon. All other desktop icons work as always. I use the NVDA screen reader for blind users.
