Highlight Current Date

Happy New Year All!

I'm keen to take advice - is there a way to make the current date REALLY stand out in my month view? I'd like it to be very obvious when I'm looking at January, to see where I am in time, please!

Per the graphic provided, a slightly darker bar for today's date is easily lost on a busy calendar.

Thanks, G.

You could try this css for the current and selected days (see picture):

.calendar-month-day-box-current-month[selected="true"] {
  background-color: orange !important;
}

.calendar-month-day-box-current-month[relation="today"] {
  background-color: red !important;
}

Help/Troubleshooting, Profile Folder, Open Folder, close TB, create a new folder named chrome, create a new document in chrome with a text editor, name it userChrome.css, Save as type: All files *.*, copy in the above code, change the colors as desired. Double-click toolkit.legacyUserProfileCustomizations.stylesheets to true in Options/General/Config. editor, restart TB.

I created this "userChrome.css" file with some instructions in the comments and working examples, tested in Thunderbird Version 78.8.1 :

/*========================================================= Use this file to better highlight the current day

Directions: 1. Go to Tools, Options, and at the very bottom, Config Editor 2. Search for: toolkit.legacyUserProfileCustomizations.stylesheets 3. Double click to toggle to true 4. Go to Help, Troubleshooting information, Profile Folder, Open Folder 5. Create directory: "chrome" 6. Copy this userChrome.css to the "chrome" directory. 7. Restart Thunderbird
