If I start typing to the address bar, and the awesome bar drops down (I hope that's its name) and there is the previously visited website I'm looking for and click on it (even after waiting a bit), a total irrelevant search-result of google opens up.

Partial scrshot attached, where if I click on the GNR wikipedia article, something about weaponary or flowerplanting will open up in google. (I'm only being sarcastic. So some google-find about gnr will be opened instead of the previously visited wikipedia page)

My computer is free of any kind of viruses and it happens on both of my computers with different operating systems (w10/w7)

There are addons installed though such as ABP, Play to Kodi and LastPass but as far as I'm concerned these are not really doing anything with the bar and its functions.

Thanks

  • Javascript JIT compilers are disabled (prefs: javascript.options.*jit)
  • hardware acceleration is disabled (Options > Advanced > General)
  • plugins are not affected
  • preferences are not affected
