Why is my cached web content always at 14K?
My cached web content is always at 14K, no matter what I do. I click to "clear now", no help,,I click to override and set it to 1024 and restart Firefox and/or the computer,,,no help. I clear the override box, no help. Always at 14K and my web browsing is "extremely" slow taking several minutes to load pages. When playing my golf game, the video starts and stops, which makes it very hard to swing since I never know when it's going to happen. Could there be something set wrong in my "config" for Firefox?

Location of the cache files; Windows: *C:\Users\<user>\AppData\Local\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\<profile>\ Mac: ~/Library/Caches/Firefox/Profiles/ Linux: ~/.cache/mozilla/firefox/
Close Firefox. Open your file browser to the above, and remove the folder.
Sorry, but where are you viewing your cached content size and overriding it?
When you are on the Options page (about:preferences) Advanced panel Network section, the box for overriding Cached Web Content is in megabytes, so 1024 would be over a gigabyte. That much disk access could ruin your performance with a fast internet connection, so please choose a more modest size like 300.
If your cache size never changes, is it possible you are using private windows, thereby bypassing the disk cache completely?

As you can probably see, I'm new to all this stuff. I'm viewing the Cached web content from where you said. I didn't know about the MB thing so I will lower it and see what happens. You ask about private windows, where would I look to see if I'm using private windows?

In a regular session, if you create a new private window -- using either the menu or Ctrl+Shift+p -- it will have a white-on-purple mask icon on the right side of the top bar near the 3 standard Windows buttons. The window will have a welcome page describing some feature of private browsing.
If you use those commands and you get a normal window, your Firefox may be set for automatic private browsing, or "Never remember history". You can check that on the Options page:
"3-bar" menu button (or Tools menu) > Options
In the left column, click Privacy. Then on the right side, if you see:
- Firefox will: Remember history -- you are NOT using automatic private browsing
- Firefox will: Never remember history -- you are using automatic private browsing
- Firefox will: Use custom settings for history PLUS there's a checkmark in the box for "Always use private browsing mode" -- you are using automatic private browsing
