I got a new laptop, my old one has died, i want to synchronize my firefox but all I have is the recovery key. what should i do? I tried downgrading firefox but is didn't help keep getting an error that it's impossible to approach the firefox server. please help

Hi liri, I am sorry to be the bearer of bad news, however the old sync that required a recovery key is no longer in service. I was decommissioned a while back and that information is no longer accessible. Blog Post

If you have the previous computer you can access the profile from the C drive.

You would need the email address and the password of the Firefox account that the current Sync uses to recover data stored on the Sync server.

You will lose data stored on the Sync server when you would request a new password.
