Not a good idea. Different computer systems store in different ways.
Using another computer, Download Firefox Full Version For All languages And Systems {web link} onto a thumb drive. After, plug the thumb into your system. https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/42.0/system-requirements/
fixed system-requirements version.

The URL was sufficient, thank you. I'm aware of how to deal with inter-filesystem/OS problems, since I've been using Linux for over 20 years. Firefox did at one time provide links on the download pages, without automatically assuming that yobos like me wanted to transfer from one machine to another.

On www.mozilla.org this above url has been the Systems & Languages link below green Free Download button for a long time. So they still do.
