Hello I'm unable to delete messages from my inbox

Weird things have occurred. I have an Imap,com server. I don't use Gmail. Recently the spam folder and bin and the sent messages migrated to a Gmail folder. I was not able to empty trash anymore. I tried unsuccessfully to follow help at Thunderbird, deleting trash folder etc. Now I can't delete any message from my inbox either. Any ideas? Thanks, M
