Firefox crashes upon close

The majority of times (80% of the time) that I close Mozilla Firefox v39 I get the Mozilla Crash Reporter. This happens on a variety of webpages and I haven't yet found a similarity. This is never stopping me from doing anything that I need to do but it is a bit annoying to close the browser only to be greeted by a crash report.
This started happening after I was infected with some malware. I have since ran several tests with various free malware checkers and the tests have all shown clear.
I have tried to reset Firefox, update all plug-ins, uninstall Firefox and reinstall, clear all data in the history (everything that can be check-marked) and still the issue persists. I'd rather not do a clean install of Windows for such a small issue as this. I feel this should be easily solvable.

Having more than one version of a program may cause issues.
You must remove the older programs. Then get the current full installer.
In the address bar, type about:crashes<enter>. Note: If any reports do not have BP in front of the numbers/letters, click it and select Submit.
Using your mouse, mark the most resent 7 - 10 crash reports, and copy them. Now go to the reply box below and paste them in.
I uninstalled the old version of the plug-in you mentioned.

The crash report flagged these programs;
Nvwgf2um.dll = NVIDIA Compatible D3D10 Driver = NVIDIA Corporation
mswsock.dll = Microsoft
winmm.dll = Windows Multimedia
Update your NVIDIA programs.
Perform a System File Check to fix corrupted system files http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/1538-sfc-scannow-command-system-file-checker.html
See if there are updates for your graphics drivers https://support.mozilla.org/kb/upgrade-graphics-drivers-use-hardware-acceleration
