How do I configure FF 3.6.3 to open Google search resaults in a new tab/window
In earlier versions when I was using the search box to search on Google FF will automatically open the results in a new tab' I didn't find the way to configure this feature in version 3.6.3, and I have to open one manually before starting the search.

You can use Alt+Enter in the Search Bar to open the results in a new tab.
When searching in the Search Bar on the Navigation Toolbar, you can have a new tab open with the search results by pressing only the Enter key by resetting a preference:
- type about:config in the URL/Location/Address bar and press the Enter key
- if you see a warning, accept it (promise to be careful)
- Filter = browser.search.openintab
- in the lower pane, double-click the item or right-click on the item and choose Toggle
- the lower pane should now show the item in bold, user set, boolean, true
- Note: You may need to exit (File > Exit) and restart Firefox for the change to take effect

For the Google website you can set your preferences on the Google.com page via the icon at the top right (Search settings).
Number of Results: Google's default (10 results) provides the fastest results.
Results Window: Open search results in a new browser window.
You need to allow cookies for Google (Tools > Page Info > Permissions) to save that setting, otherwise you have to repeat it.
