DISAPPEARING EMAILS

When I go on my emails, they have disapeared from all my folders - inbox, sent, draft and trash. To bring them into view, I need to click "properties" and new screen appears and I click on "repair". I have to do this every time and when I switch to a different folder, I have to do the same again. At least I can see my emails but I should not have to do this every time.

Is this an IMAP account? Can you view the messages with online account?

Thank you very much, David, for your reply. Neither of your questions make any sense to me. That said, the problem is recoccuring and has mysteriously rectified itself again. If it happens again, I'll do what I did previously - click on "properties" then "repair" and bingo! I get my emails back. I have to repeat the process if I switch folders - a bit of a nuisance but I can live with it. One last point - what a crap method Thunderbird have of dealing with issues and problems. Instead of having an expert advice line, we are reliant on the kind help of Joe Public. Thannks again, David, and don't let the bugs bite! Terry

My intent was that, if your account is IMAP, the simplest solution is to reinstall Thunderbird on top of your installation. Your installation is corrupted. And free help is all you get for a product that is free and for which is supported financially by fewer than 1% of users.
