Cannot get thunderbird to configure a set up so it can find my email server. getting over it.

Won't do it automatically. Tried manual but its telling me i have a configuration wrong

For an IMAP account, use these settings:

incoming IMAP server: imap.xtra.co.nz port: 993 security: SSL/TLS authentication: normal password User name: email address

outgoing smtp server: send.xtra.co.nz port: 465 security: SSL/TLS authentication: normal password User name: email address
