I'm using Thunderbird Portable version, but when I set up the account, it only downloads the latest 400 messages instead of all the old emails. The synchronization setting is set to "Synchronize all messages locally regardless of ages" and "Don't delete any messages". Does anyone know the issue with this?

perhaps your provider has a setting or policy that limits the server to synchronizing only the last 400 messages.

Matt, Thanks for the tip. I checked with the provider, and they told me that they had set the limit.
