This issue seems to be present in other form fields, including the one for this support ticket. Touch typing is very difficult for me when I can't see what I just typed. Atuosave seems to happen pretty often in gmail. This is in 55.0.2 (64 bit) for Linux Mint. I don't have the same issue in Chrome.

Sorry -- I think this is a non-issue. I had quite a few tabs open when I was seeing the delays. After restarting the browser, all is good.
