I can't get into my accounts and it tells me the server won't accept my passwords. How can I correct this problem?

server asks for password, I give it and then it asks for a new password. I try a new one and it won't accept it. What can I do? I don't want to lose everything I have in my folders if I uninstall and then reinstall the program. Please help. This has been going on for over a month now
