Downloaded Mac's new OS, Sierra, version 10.12. Thunderbird opens, but with a type font of enormous size and no toolbars. Seems unresponsive to any commands. I uninstalled Thunderbird, downloaded the latest version, installed it and same response.

This morning in the Thunderbird support newsgroup, I read that there are no known issues. This was posted by a reputable source.

Okay, I respect that. I'm attaching a screenshot of Thunderbird after I open it in Mac Sierra. Might not be OS related, but Thunderbird was working fine before the upgrade. I did get a request during the OS install to download a font for Thunderbird, but I said okay and assumed the download of the font was a minor issue.
