New UI (v48.0.2) screws up Google search results, how to revert to old UI?
I'm just about at my wits end with FF! Now the default FF theme has completely screwed up the way the browser displays Google search results, it is just absolutely horrible! The way the search results are now displayed might be great for mobile devices but it is terrible on desktops. (See attached full screen captures IE vs Firefox). How can I stop this display for mobile users and revert back to a "fit for business desktop) UI?
I understand that you want to bring in new features and I understand that your mobile user base is most likely bigger and ever increasing but the mobile is unfit for the desktop. Does FF not have different versions for different devices? Then why foist mobile UI on desktop users? Your rush to push out new versions with new UI/Options "forced" on to the end users is rather annoying, especially so when "features" intended for mobile users are forced on to desktop business users!
How nice, come in to work on a Monday morning and we have to run around to workstations because FF screwed half the desktops in the office, time wasted, productivity lost and money lost all thanks to Firefox! I'm now starting to firmly believe that Firefox = "unfit for business".

hello, the issue you are describing has nothing to do with firefox or any version update, as we do not control how google is designing its page. google is apparently serving you an experimental interface (they often perform that kind of testing on a small sample of their userbase). please try to clear the cache & cookies from google.com and most likely you're back to "normal" afterwards.

You've been enrolled in one of Google's UI experiements. As philipp mentioned, you often can escape the experiment by clearing cookies. Unfortunately, some experiments are account based, so you may be stuck with them while you are logged in.

Actually, before you clear cookies, look for the "Send feedback" link at the bottom of the search results page and tell Google you hate it. This experiment needs to stop.

...or change my search engine. They might think they're the only ones but annoy your users long enough and they will go elswhere, Google isn't the only search engine out there, we can live without them!
