I just downloaded and installed Thunderbird to a new system. Set-up the Email and then a Filter for some specific email addresses, Clicked on Run Filters on Folder and nothing worked. I read through other questions and responses found in the Forums and see that I am not the only one with, what appears to have been a problem for many years. Is there a fix for this issue?

The usual fix it to place the filters in the correct account. There are lots of complaints on Google, but I have never seen a time when filters did not work.

There are hundreds of posts complaining about the same problem. I only had one account in Thunderbird, so your answer did not make any sense. I just uninstalled Thunderbird and have decided to stick with Google and Microsoft Outlook.

Thunderbird ALWAYS has at least two accounts. The special "Local Folders" account and the one you add.

Sure there a lots of post about Filters not working. There are lots on any topic you want to Google. like 9.9 Million for Outlook not working. and 21.5 Million for gmail not working. There are even 21 Million results for a green sky. With photographs to back it up. I do this in the spirit of pointing out that lots of post on a topic is not all that relevant.

You are complaining filters do not work. I know they do, they move hundreds of mails a day around in my Thunderbird account. Who is right?
