Inbox messages sort by date is colapsed every time you move away to other folders or restart thunderbrd itself. How to make it remain open if you leave it open?
if you set to sort your thunderbird inbox by date and then expand dates to see messages and then navigate away to different folders or close Thunderbird, next time you open programm or return to inbox all dates are collapsed again. How to do it remains open if you leave it open before navigating away or even closing Thunderbird?

Your profile settings not saved might cause this issue.
Check in safe mode if its working fine , then its your addon making this issue. Check the addon update or remove.
If same profile in safemode, Create a new profile as a test to check if your current profile is causing the problems.
If the new profile works then you can transfer files from a previously used profile to the new profile, but be cautious not to copy corrupted files to avoid carrying over the problem
