Syncing emails with Gmail Windows keeps throwing up "Not responding"messages, please help. (windows 10)

When I open Thunderbird it starts syncing with Gmail & Thunderbird hangs when Windows is in normail mode, but when I it in Safe Mode with Networking it works fine. Is this a bug with Thunderbird 38.3.0?

If you don't don't have problem when starting Windows in safe mode, this almost certainly indicates that your anti-virus software is the culprit. What is your anti-virus software?
