I have the downloader addon installed on 3 computers. It works fine on an old windows xp 32 bit desk top system and also on a windows vista 64 bit lap top sytem but has stopped working on a windows 64 bit desk top system. The addon still indicates that it can down load a site, still shows the available formats, shows that the download is active in the downloader icon but firefox does not actually start the download and shows no active downloads in the ongoing downloads tab. Have removed and reinstalled the downloader addon several times but firefox still does not start the download. I suspect this is a firefox problem not the downloader addon but can find no information on how to fix this. This problem started in the past week.
