I lost my bookmarks while trying to sync with another device. Can I get them back?

I have tried to sync with a new device. I Had a lot of trouble finding the code which I used last time I synced devices. It seems that I didn't need to do that anymore after signing out and in, it suddenly seemed to work. All the bookmarks that wasn't in folders appered on the new device but the folders didn't. Unfortunately I also pressed the sync button on the old device. Result: the bookmarks that wasn't in folders "returned" to my old device and all the folders are gone. Since they cootained years of collecting links. I really would like to get them back. I havn't shot down my device since it happened. I hope you can help me :-)

hello lisanis, firefox is creating backups of your bookmarks for a certain amount of days automatically. you can press ctrl+shift+B to open the bookmarks library. on the top there is a menu import & backup from where it should possible to restore your bookmarks from a date prior to that sync mishap.

Restore bookmarks from backup or move them to another computer
