"Untrusted Connection" messages are blocking me from making eBay purchases. These do not happen with Internet Explorer. Help please.

Hi. Whenever I try to buy something on eBay I get the "Untrusted Connection" screen. I have tried "Add Exception" but this just hangs. I am left with no option but to switch to Internet Explorer, which gives me no such issues. I don't particularly want to switch off the security but I don't get this mesage with ANY other sites other than eBay via Firefox and then only when I try to buy.
