I download the firefox set up and it runs and it says extracting but after that nothing happens.

I have no idea if its crome itself or if my firewall is blocking it but as soon as i download the firefox set up and i launch it, it says extracting then after its done nothing pops up and nothing happens any help?

Try this instead:

Boot the computer in Windows Safe Mode with network support (press F8 on the boot screen) as a test.
