I have been having problems getting access to sites. I keep getting 502 Bad Gateway Certificate verify failed: unable to get local issuer certificate. What can I do? For example, I have been trying to access EFTPS to schedule payments or IRS and get same message. What should I do?

I have two websites of my own. I am viewing one and it is correct. When I view the other, it uses the https cert from the first one, and says my site is not secure. I have viewed the cert, and it is definitely correct. I think Mozilla is probably caching old information - the certs have been correct for most of 2025, so it is a pretty old version. Therefore, it is not actually caching the cert, but caching which cert it should use. I have tried clearing the cache, and it did not help!

Has Mozilla got some kind of cache I can't clear? Should it not re-read the cert when it loads the site, or at least the cert date, each time it reads the site (ie was not previously showing it on screen)?

I confirmed with my host provider that my website is in a secure environment, but when I access three form pages that end in "php" there is a broken padlock icon in the address bar and says that the connection is not secure.

I checked other browsers (Edge, Chrome, & Brave) and all show a secure connection. So this only happens in the Firefox browser (v141.0). I'm using Windows 10 64bit.

Has anyone else had this issue? Any suggestions on how to fix?

The form is how my clients order on my website (no financial info is entered on the form, just data), and I fear that if they are using Firefox and see it's "not secure" they will leave.
