My new Win 11 PC out the box with a Firefox installed on it, worked fine for 2 weeks then an update from you guys causes it to crash, it is stuck in a perpertual reboot loop as windows crash, close then the app restarts despite being told to close, only a reboot will stop it from trying to open and then cause memory leaks.

Also, when are you guys going to incorporate a "Roll back feature" for these situations, so that the older working version can be retrieved.

All my important logins are on firefox and your programmers, whatever they did have jeopardised my ability to access important accounts.

I best check my androind tablet hasn't updates or I will be up the wazoo without a failsafe... Well played Mozilla Devs...

bold textUsing beta it became flaky so I tried to move to the release version. I was told the beta was a later version so I could not. When I reopened FF all my data is gone. I lost all index page formatting, bookmarks, history tags everything. I would like to have this back (even beta)

I'm in the midst of getting used to a new computer and setting it up as I want and like it. (My old one just stopped dead and nothing could be retrieved from it.) My question: how does one stop Google from auto suggesting in Firefox? See the attached photo...I've typed a "g" and there's a whole list of useless suggestions shown. Based on what I've read, I've turned off what I think are all the settings relating to auto suggestions yet it's still operational. Previously, I never had this problem with Firefox, but now with the new machine (HP using Windows 11) it's back to haunt me. Thanks for any assistance.

Firefuxxed was refusing to open new tabs so I shut it down and restarted it (always fixes it) and all my pinned and open tabs were gone with no way to recover them, it took me half an hour to manually restore the pinned ones one by one but not all of them as I cannot remember all of them let alone all the open tabs I had (hours of research gone down the toilet).

There should be a way to backup and restore pinned and open tabs so this doesn't happen, the history option does nothing.

OS: Linux Mint 22 fresh install from a week ago Previous version of Firefuxxed updated after this shamossel.

I cannot play embedded Youtube videos, but they work when I open them in Youtube.

When embedded, after starting the video, I only see the circle animation (loading), but the video never starts.

The issue has been going on since a long time already, and present on both Windows and Linux Ubuntu.

Firefox stops loading pages. I try to browse a webpage and it just keeps loading, but nothing happens (black screen). I open chrome, request the same webpage, it loads immediately. In Firefox, it keeps loading. Sometimes it loads it after 1-2 minutes. Sometimes not. Problem is fixed after restarting firefox, but comes back again after some time.

Hi, firefox deleted my history after an update. The only browsing history i have left is yesterday and today since after the update. My bookmarks and the session i was in were still there.

I only have one profile. i dont have a index.dat file unter C:\Users\<myname>\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles. Any data recovery tools cannot find one either. about:cache only shows me the history after the update.

I dont know what to do and now i've lost my history of the last about 8 years. Does anyone have an idea?

When opening web pages in Firefox (this time it crashed after opening three regular pages), there is a chance it will freeze with a white screen and display a “not responding” pop-up window, while also causing the system audio driver to malfunction. Clicking the speaker icon in the bottom-right corner takes a long time to display the volume slider, but the slider cannot be moved, or adjusting the volume does not produce any sound. Forcing Firefox to close and reopening it also causes it to freeze. The only way to avoid the white screen and unresponsive state is for Firefox to automatically detect the crash and prompt whether to open a new page. The audio driver issue requires restarting the computer to resolve. So what is the underlying issue? How can I report this bug to the official team for analysis and resolution? If it's difficult to resolve, I'll consider switching to the ESR version of Firefox.

(Annoying past experience: This situation has occurred several times before when using Firefox. At that time, I had 2-3 web pages with videos open, mainly video websites, and the speaker icon was directly crossed out with an X, causing the computer desktop to crash as well. The computer became extremely laggy, and the Task Manager and security options were difficult to open. I found a problem with McAfee Webadvisor 13 Aug 2025 release. It causes flickering in the upper right part of the screen. Disabling it in Extensions fixes the problem. Removing it and reinstalling causes the problem to reoccur. This is new, had no problems yesterday but today all four of my family's computers have this problem. I will report the problem to McAfee and give an update if I get a response.
