Out of the blue all my bookmarks and passwords disappeared, When I follow your instructions there are no backups in your files. Toolbar is missing and right clicking shows a check mark but no toolbar, I have already switched to Chrome and guess what they have all my bookmarks but no passwords. Passwords are no problem I saved them more so than you backed up your files. I guess it was an update, I don't know. I am 85 years old and have used Firefox a number of those years, probably longer than whoever reads this has has been with us.I guess you know which path I'll be taking from now on. Just thought I would let you know. PS and there will not be anymore automatic updating I'll do it myself I trust me. Stick a fork in me I'm done !

Almost all of the time, my I experience no issues with firefox. However, any time I try to open google products like google docs and google sheets, I experience a lot of lag. It takes up to a minute for the page to load, but once it does, it functions perfectly fine. I've never experienced this with any other websites. I don't think it is because of the size of the files, because the problem occurs even when opening new documents with no data in them.

When I go to my Firefox browser on my desktop, I have to sign every time to google. I never had to do that until recently. I don't have to do it on my Edge browser or on my Iphone.

I messed up somewhere.

I went to settings, general and tabs. While I was trying different tab settings I accidentally changed the function of the F11 & F12 tabs. How do I return them to their default setting?

I tried to go to Macys.com and got the following message:

I see a youtube video ready to play when I open my wifi icon on the taskbar. Only happens when Firefox has Youtube open in a tab and I've watched at least one video in preview mode or on the video page. I really wish to turn it off if I can.

Is there a setting to always show the translation icon in the Firefox desktop address bar?

1. Scenario

I'm visiting a website that is not in my native language. For example, I natively speak English, and the website contains Spanish text.

The Spanish website incorrectly sets lang="en" in the HTML. Here's an example: https://animalessinhogar.com.uy/

My browser's default language is set to US English. When Firefox sees the Spanish webpage declaring the lang="en" tag, it assumes the webpage is in English, and hides the translation icon from the address bar.

1. Issue

The end result is I see this website in Spanish, there's no translation icon in the address bar, and also no way to force a full page translation. The best I can do is select parts of the text, right click, and ask for "Translation Selection to English". This gets very tedious, especially when I have automatic translations for Spanish websites already turned on (browser.translations.alwaysTranslateLanguages = es).

1. Proposed solution

To work around these websites which mis-declare their language, is there a way to always show the translation icon in the address bar?

I had also thought of removing my browser's default language, so that the translation icon would always appear on every webpage. However, that would mean that websites that present different versions based on browser language wouldn't display my native language at first, or might not work at all? So this seems like a less good solution.

Actually, I need to add sinhala language to the Firfox transalator. There isn't sinhalese to translate any kind of website or other article etc. So if i can add sinhala language to the firfox translator it can be verry helped full and usefull for me. So i kindly inform you to send me any meterial or technical information to fix that.

History drop down-Restore Previous Session MENU OPTION AND Recently Closed Windows MENU OPTION tab choice ARE DARK!!! Not active!!! Why? (If they are there to be seen they should always be active for use)

I use these ALL THE TIME!! Where is that function??? Why is MY history from yesterday NOT there for me?? I need it right now!

My life is busy and stressful enough without Firefox or Apple or Microsoft adding to it!!!

Apple computer w/Tahoe OS 26.31

I have switched OS, from Windows 10 to Linux Mint, and wanted to copy the Firefox profile to the new OS. I tried using this guide: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/back-and-restore-information-firefox-profiles

I copied the xxxxxxxx.default-release folder, then switched OS to Linux Mint. After copying the files from the backup folder into the new folder, Firefox launches, but is completely blank. See the attached image. None of the buttons work, nor does the address bar or new folders. I also tried logging in to my Firefox account before copying the files, but that didn't work either.

Default Firefox works fine.
