Hello,

I have created a webpage with a canvas element that allows the user to draw an irregular path by pressing down the mouse, similar to the free drawing of a paint application. The issue is that the very first time that the user presses the mouse, the line stops abruptly, while the next times the lines are drawn correctly. The events seem to fire correctly and the page works fine at Chromium, so it seems to be a Firefox issue. You can find the html page below. I am curious, what could be the problem?

<!DOCTYPE html>
<html lang="el">

<head>
  <meta charset="UTF-8">
  <meta name="viewport" content="width=device-width, initial-scale=1.0">
  <title>Canvas</title>
  <style>
    #canvas {
      background-color: whitesmoke;
      border: solid 2px brown;
    }
  </style>
</head>

<body>
  <canvas id="canvas"></canvas>

  <script>
    function startDrawing(e) {
      isDrawing = true;
      context.beginPath();
      context.moveTo(e.offsetX, e.offsetY);
    }

    function draw(e) {
      if (isDrawing) {
        context.lineTo(e.offsetX, e.offsetY);
        context.stroke();
      }
    }

    function stopDrawing(e) {
      console.log("stopped drawing")
      isDrawing = false;
    }

    const canvas = document.getElementById('canvas');
    const context = canvas.getContext('2d');
    var isDrawing = false;
    canvas.width = 1000;
    canvas.height = 1000;
    context.strokeStyle = "#913d88";
    context.lineWidth = 2;
    canvas.onmousedown = startDrawing;
    canvas.onmouseup = stopDrawing;
    canvas.onmousemove = draw;
  </script>
</body>

</html>

Not only me: https://www.reddit.com/r/firefox/comments/1ctx1bm/twitter_not_working_on_private_browsing/ https://connect.mozilla.org/t5/discussions/firefox-s-enhanced-tracking-protection-strict-mode-is-known-to/td-p/57432 https://lemmy.world/post/15496431

https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=40386418 Dunno if entirely accurate but regarding the Firefox error: “Twitter switched their top level domain to X, but didn't change any of their other domains, so they're still pulling assets from Twimg. Which makes Firefox (correctly) block the page if you have Tracking Protect enabled because it sees X trying to involve 3rd parties.“ Slow clap.

In early May I started having problems with Google on Firefox. Sometimes the Google home page won't load up at all. Once it does load up sometimes the searches work, sometimes the search just times out and goes back to the empty search bar, also when I click on links to websites they time out too. If I go straight to a bookmarked website, that seems to free things up and the next Google search I do will work. I've uninstalled and reinstalled Firefox but it doesn't make any difference. Google works fine on Chrome and Edge. Any advice would be gratefully received - please note I'm not technically minded! Thank you.

https:\\archive.org works perfectly in Firefox on Win-10, but on a new Linux Mint install, (with default Firefox as included), this particular website simply displays as a blank white screen. Every other website I try on the Linux install works perfectly; it is only this one website which does not work.

There are no add-ons, no proxies, no security suites, nothing extra. I cleared all cookies and cache. Tried running FF in Protected Mode. Nothing seems to fix it. There are no error messages displayed - just a blank white screen.

And, to make it worse, I am not particularly computer-literate, (I'm 82 years old...), so you will have to give me simple guidance if I need to get involved with deeper logging etc.

I'm hoping to get some help with disabling the Insecure connection password warning in Firefox version 115.11.0.

In previous versions, I could disable this warning through the about:config settings. However, I couldn't find the specific setting (security.insecure_field_warning.contextual.enabled) that was mentioned in some online resources.

I understand the security risks involved in disabling these warnings, and I only intend to do this on a trusted website on my local network.

Could you please advise on the best approach for achieving this in Firefox 115.11.0, or any alternative solutions to manage insecure connection warnings for trusted local sites?

Thanks in advance for your help!
