My Firefox crashed when my laptop was inactive. When relaunching it didn't have my usual tabs open so I did the usual, history- restore tabs. This didn't work and only opened 2 tabs when I know I had about at least 15 open. Please tell me other ways I can do this? they are backed up in file library, how do I restore them from there? or any other way, this is frustrating.

Can you help me repair my FireFox Browser? The shortcut did not launch the browser. It stated that the file had moved or was no longer working. It still appears in my App folder but the only option is to uninstall it. I have a great deal of short cut tabs and all my stored passwords. How do I repair this? If I re-download Firefox will it access all of my stored information and preferences?

After your security fix this morning, I discovered that I can't access my earthlink inbox. I keep getting the login page, and when I try to log in, the login page is all I get. I can, however, access my earthlink inbox on Edge. So I wonder if there was something in your security fix that is creating this problem on Firefox. How to fix this?

Any search entry gets the following return:

I lost all bookmarks after running a Firefox update near the end of June. I have not been able to recover them. I believe I deleted my original profile inadvertently so not sure if there is anything I can do to recover them. Suggestions?

Please help. I'm always having ti "delete from history" time and time again and am tired of wasting my time trying and not succeeding to get rid of extra widgets just because I visit a site they show-up and I have no use for them because I already have established widgets that I use on my opening page! this matter is very frustrating.

I am currently revising for professional qualifications and the PDF study manual I am using is extremely large.

I have seen tutors be able to use the document outline on the left sidebar to be able to filter through different chapters.

However, I do not have that option - I only have the option to view page-by-page which is not very helpful.

How can I get the document outline to show a chapter-by-chapter outline?

I'm on a desktop using Windows 11. I apply Firefox updates pretty quickly whenever I'm notified one has been published. The last 5 or so updates have made my Bookmarks Toolbar disappear. Sometimes I'm able to retrieve is, and all bookmarks are still intact, but then the next update disappears it again. *Holding pleading hands to the heavens* Whyyyyyyyy?

Hello, I've been using Firefox for years, but last couple months or so - it's been losing Internet connection - I have to stop and restart it and all ok - somtimes for 5 mins - sometimes for 15 or so - but it's doing my head in :) Any help appreciated - Thanks

gerald.r.vargas 4. Aug. 2026, 08:23 GMT-6 Hi, this morning for some reason all the tabs I had open couldn't been loaded. Refreshening the page didn't help either. So I decided to shut down and restart my laptop.

Unfortunately after restarting Firefox only one page and its tabs have been reloaded.  All the others were gone. 

After trying about:support and session:restore it didn't help either, because only the 4th of Aug. was available. Is there a possibility for a session restore from the 03rd of Aug? or the previous days? If anybody has an idea, how to do so, please let me know.

I've been using Mozilla Firefox browser for the better part of the last two decades, having always found it to be the most functional and useful over all competitors, who generally seem more interested in raising revenue or spewing puerile and slanted politics. I've been accustomed to the occasional "crashes" and always provided input when they occurred, convinced that the interruptions would be brief and with any issues resolved. Today was different.

Lately, my processor was experiencing some "aging" issues: slowdowns, freezing forcing me to re-start, and random re-starts on its own. Over the weekend I conducted a comprehensive series of diagnostic tests of all features of the operating system. To my relief, the system went back to normal and efficient, including the browser -- for about 2 days.

Early today the browser became slow, eventually inactive, and ultimately crashing 7 times. But all these time were different: my input into the "crash warning box" was not permitted and closing the box only resulted with the next crash. All crashes had the same reason posted on their reports: "Crash Reason EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION."

When the crashes finally ended, my browser looked totally unlike it did before:

(1) ALL of the shortcuts I entered on the home page and relied upon for years VANISHED. (2) ALL of the browser windows and the open tabs I was working through at the time EVAPORATED. (3) ALL extensions I saved and used routinely GONE.

By the end of the day, one spent trying to resurrect "my" Mozilla browser with minimal damage, something else disconcerting occurred: the processor's operating system randomly shut and re-started. I don't want to point fingers just yet and allege this was connected with my browser failing, but the coincidence is troubling, one I would recommend looking into. My assistance is, of course, automatic.
