Specifically: for a website (apps.availity.com), I am not able to get Mozilla to save data entered into form fields. I enter many insurance claims on this site and it speeds up the workflow immensely if the fields get saved.

Form fields seem to be saving correctly on other websites, but not the one I need. Here are things I have done to troubleshoot:

-In privacy and settings, I had history to its default setting "remember history," form fields were not saving so I switched this to :"use custom settings for history" and ensured that "remember search and form history" is checked. -"Clear history when Firefox closes" is unchecked. But just in case, I checked it in order to get access to the advanced setting for this field, made sure "clear form history" was not checked, then I unchecked the "clear history" option altogether again. -I added a Cookie exception to allow cookies for this website, just in case. -When logged in to the website, I clicked the shield icon to the left of the URL and turned off 'enhanced tracking protection.'

About general setup: -Mozilla Firefox is up to date. -Running Windows 11 Home 64 bit, windows is up to date.

I have this functionality in Chrome for this website, but somehow Chrome has stopped working well (for other reasons) on various websites little by little while Firefox remains functional. I am trying to simply shift over to Firefox completely but really need to iron out this form field issue.

TIA.

I've loved Firefox for years but can no longer use it because I have been unable to resolve this issue. All was well, an update was done, and bingo, I got this message. I don't know how to fix it. I removed Firefox from my desktop and re-installed. Same problem.

"The bookmarks and history system will not be functional because one of Firefox's files is in use by another application. Some security software can cause this problem."

You guys took away the ability to resize the sidebar..Why on earth would you do that? I must use a larger font to see ( you do have aging users!) and now I must click on many bookmarks to see them.

Also why would you move the "+" to open a new tab to the far right or far left instead of the most intuitive place it used to be..at the new tab location

Neither of those changes are innovative..they take away from ease of use, which should be a primary goal as a software developer. Please consider making those options available again.

Hi, When connecting to a HTTP:// site, when you enter your username in the username field, Firefox prompts the user with: "This connection is not secure. Logins entered here could be compromised. Learn More".

How can I turn this message off?

We are running Firefox in kiosk mode in the browser (on a Windows 11 PC), and they are logging into an HTTP site using a touch screen, but when they click into the username box, they sometimes miss touch where to enter this username and instead touch the link mentioned in the message. This then takes them to the Mozilla homepage, but because it is running in kiosk mode, they are unable to navigate back, and they are prevented from closing and restarting Firefox. This is why we need to turn the message off.

Hello Last year, I first saw the icons in the far right top corner of home page (red 'X' and other orange one) kept turning grey. Now for several months the entire top 'task bar' area of Firefox home page constantly turns grey, then back to regular color, back and forth, in the most aggravating way. I tried all suggestions: disabled hardware accelerations, disabled themes and extensions, cleared cache.... Still persists. Has anybody else encountered this? I use Firefox as my only browser-- on a Toshiba laptop. Thanks.

I am unable to complete the 2FA process; after scanning to my authenticator and backup up restore codes, and completing the final step, the procedure does not complete with the message that the time needs to be set to automatic, which it already is. I have attempted this process on two Win 11 and one Win 10 computer (all with the time configured to automatic), and also using an IPad with the latest version of IOS. All fail with the same message that the time needs to be set to automatic. Is there a solution to this issue?

Dear Generous Help Volunteers,

I'm running Firefox 128.13.0 ESR (64-bit) on Windows 11 (Lenovo desktop).

If I use a Private Window, does that mean that "Containers" are redundant/not needed? If not, please explain in depth.

If I use a Private Window, does that mean that, while I have the browser open, any temporarily saved data can be accessed by any website? If so, could I use a Container, in a Private Window, only for those sites for which I need to keep cookie(s) (i.e. bank logins, shopping carts, etc.).

I noticed that SOME container extensions let you select to "Allow in Private Windows" and SOME do NOT. I noticed specifically that "Firefox Multi-Account Containers" will not let you select to "Allow in Private Windows", and my understanding is that this is required for ANY Containers to function. Is that correct? It's a bit confusing.

I have had some sites break using the standard browser (with Containers), that will often work if I use a Private Window. Often, all that seems broken is the "Captcha"; it just doesn't appear and the form will not complete without it. However, it works in a Private Window.

I'm a little confused about which does exactly what. I don't use Google or any social media sites and I don't want any of them to have access to any of my information.

I have also encountered an ongoing problem that is very frustrating and time-consuming: When I click a link in a webpage, 10 to 30 tabs will quickly open, instead of only one, and each has to be closed separately. This happens nearly all the time. Is there a solution to this?

With Appreciation & Kind Regards, Anne Fennell
