Can you add a configuration setting to Mozilla Firefox to disable Create New Profile, configurable in the policies.json file? (A second option but a much uglier one would be to disable being able to select a file location for a new profile. Then you could make the default profile directory write only, which would also accomplish the same thing.) (A third option would be to able to configure extensions by default upon installation in the ExtensionSettings policy.)

To explain, I use LeechblockNG on Firefox on Ubuntu. Very helpful. By placing a policies.json file (see at bottom) in /etc/firefox/policies/ directory, I can create a system wide policy. I can make the LeechblockNG extension mandatory and to be installed upon every new profile creation. That all works very well. HOWEVER, there is NO way to be able to set those options in the new profile. So LeechblockNG is installed with default options (which are no blocking at all), which effectively bypasses the addon.

I am also writing the author of the leechblock extension to see if there is any way to set the options for leechblock upon installation (the third option above).

But I know other people have this same question, and at present, if I am correct, there is no way to block new profile creation, or the Profile Manager window in Firefox.

So could you please add that option to the Firefox policies.json configuration? Something like "DisableNewProfiles": true would do it.

Can you either move the weather widget back to the left side or maybe instead of just changing things to change them let people put it where they want it? My eyes go to the left when i open a new tab and it was a lot nicer on the left side. Now its on the right and it actually makes no sense to me why it was moved so move it back or give people the choice to have it where they want it.

Can not play YouTube videos anymore in current version from Firefox. Before this update (again not needed and messy one) they worked. The videos shown at home screen or recommendations on the YouTube website. Same for my subscriptions, current videos as videos I played earlier somewhere. The YouTube website shows their picture and then the "no content available" message. Refreshing that page and try sometime later, both do not solve this. Unknown why this is happen. It seems another "new" bug inside Firefox.

I installed Debian 12 on my laptop. I'm using Firefox 133.0.3 from Flatpak. When the browser is in full screen and I display a video in full screen mode, strangely, the video is not in full screen... It's on the top left corner and the rest of the page is in violet. I tested on different site, loading a local video and the issue is the same. I can't reproduce the issue on my desktop computer on Windows. When the browser is not in full screen (F11) and I put the video in full screen mode, there is no issue... I attached a screenshot of the situation.

Have you ever encountered this kind of issue? How to resolve it?

Starting 3 days ago, firefox no longer saves my website preferences. I have tried everything I can find to stop this from happening. Suggestion please? The site I am experiencing this on is Griddlers.net. Every time I bring up a puzzle on their site, I have to reset preferences. These preferences used to be saved from day to day.

bold text How to stop firefox from continually making popups saying an extension has changed the page. It is so annoying in regard to Tabliss which changes every new page photo. Its ridiculous that firefox does this & so annoying that firefox is not respecting my block popups rules. Its only started about a week or two ago & it is happening every time i change pages. Its intrusive and annoying that firefox has no regard for what i want on my computer.

The sign up or sign in button doesn't work. The first time I click it, it immediately refreshes. I click again and nothing. On the 3rd click, it just spins for 30 seconds then goes back to being blue. This continues every time I attempt to click further.

I can login on this page just fine using Firefox on my android phone. I can also login using the Edge browser. Matter of fact, I had to use Edge so I could post this issue.

This is a completely fresh install of Firefox, on a completely fresh install of Windows.

I have four rows of shortcuts on my default browser window. Sometimes the disappear but they always return a few days later. What could cause such occurrence?

Mi cuenta fue bloqueada sin razon, de repent entro a mi navegador y me aparece un mensaje diciendo que "mi cuenta fue bloqueada por razones de seguridad", sin mandarme un mensaje o un correo ni nada ahora no puedo sincronizar mis datos, tengo contraseñas y cosas importantes en esta cuenta y nisiquiera me dan un motivo del por que se ha bloqueado mi cuenta, para colmo no me deja acceder con mi cuenta secundaria por que "necesita entrar desde mi cuenta primaria"

Most pop ups play annoying audio

Some pop up windows, such as educational material from Fidelity.com, show the video, but I can't hear the audio. I can't find anything in the toolbars or settings that would allow me to hear the audio for the particular video. This is a very annoying problem and I don't have this issue with Chrome or Edge. Please let me know what I'm missing? Is there somehing simple, like tap the spacebar to override the "block audio"?

I had to do a hard restart to my PC and now I have lost all of my bookmarks. I have gone to the retorse and backup sections to try that and it is not working. For some reason it is only pulling up really old bookmarks for someone that used this computer before me. Why is this and is there anyway I can get my bookmarks back?
