I keep getting a message saying I need to close Firefox because my computer is out of memory.

My laptop started getting a message saying that I need to close Firefox because it was out of memory. Firefox will crash and then re open back to my pages I had open before. I am running Windows 8 on a new laptop with very little installed on it. I have 6G of RAM and http://prntscr.com/13ug02 I called tech support about it thinking it was my computer and they said it was a Firefox problem. I also use Chrome on this laptop and it works fine with no problems but I like Firefox so much better. I know I have no virus' on my laptop and very little has been done on this laptop since I purchased it except Facebook. This is the message that keeps popping up http://prntscr.com/13ugw3 I went back to a previous backup and installed it and my laptop worked for a few days and then started the same thing again. Please help... not sure if it will help or not but I posted my crash reports.

Hello,

The Reset Firefox feature can fix many issues by restoring Firefox to its factory default state while saving your essential information. Note: This will cause you to lose any Extensions, Open websites, and some Preferences.

To Reset Firefox do the following:

  1. Go to Firefox > Help > Troubleshooting Information.
  2. Click the "Reset Firefox" button.
  3. Firefox will close and reset. After Firefox is done, it will show a window with the information that is imported. Click Finish.
  4. Firefox will open with all factory defaults applied.

You can check for problems with current Flash plugin versions and try these:

  • disable protected mode in Flash 11.3 and later
  • disable hardware acceleration in the Flash plugin
  • disable a possible RealPlayer Browser Record Plugin extension for Firefox and update the RealPlayer if installed
