I am running Windows 7 on my laptop HP g72 and I can be typing away in either a search engine or the command bar and the Firefox decides to minimize itself. None of the information is lost, I just reopen it from the bottom of the screen. Is anyone else experiencing this. This is not the only computer that does it either. However all my laptops are HP's. Could it be something inherit to the HP's ? I am running 14.0.1 version of Firefox.

Hi,

You can try typing in Internet Explorer, notepad or wordpad to check if the problem repeats. The Windows OS shortcut key is Windows key + m. Other than that HP models may have one key configurable options in the Start menu or the Windows Control Panel. Usually the HP site would have a pdf manual corresponding to the models. If the problem is isolated to Firefox, you can consider the Reset Firefox feature via Help (Alt + H) > Troubleshooting Information.

(To revert to the previous profile, close the new profile, start Firefox and choose the *.default profile. While the Profile Manager is open, you can also delete the newly reset profile (the one containing random numbers)).
