When I enter an item on Google search, I do not want it remembered. I do not want previous search entries to re-appear when I start entering a new search item in the google search box. How can I set-up up this not to happen or how do I delete a previous entry if I really do not want it to automatically pop-up as I enter a new search?

To clear the entries that have already been saved:

  1. In the Tools menu select "Clear Recent History".
  2. If the details are not shown click on the down arrow to show details
  3. In the list only select "Form & Search History"
  4. Set the time range is set to Everything then click Clear Now.

To stop Firefox remembering form and search history:

  1. In the Tools menu select Options to open the options dialog
  2. Select the Privacy panel
  3. Make sure the drop down box "Firefox will" is set to "Use custom settings for history"
  4. Uncheck the setting "Remember search and form history"
