I am trying to create my gmail address on Thunderbird ([edited] @gmail.com). But I get an error message: Error message start: Could not create account Incoming server is already created. Error message end. however I cannot find any incoming server mentioned for this email address anywhere in the settings or data. anyone have an idea where to search for and delete that server ? I will be very grateful for any help.

oops thought you were haveing issue with ff. thunderbird still usable. check user profile chooser, ensure the backing directory for account is not already being used by another account in profile chooser.

confirm new account does not use already existing account directory

from inside active thrunderbird session > dropdown hamburger > Account Settings

   - can update incoming and outgoing servers there
