Thunderbird に対する「ユーザー名」とは？
皆様、はじめまして。 先日、ThunderbirdにGmailアドレスも追加登録しました。 が、パスワード変更が必要になった為、Google で Gmail のパスワードを変更した後に、Thunderbirdに登録しているGmailアドレスでは受送信出来なくなりました。 従ってThunderbird での Gmail送信エラー画面でパスワードを変更しようとしたのですが「新しいパスワードを入力」への入力を受け付けてくれませんでした。 更にパスワードリストで変更出来るかとリストを出そうとしましたら、Thunderbirdがユーザー名とパスワードを聞いてきました。 でも、ThunderbirdはＰＣが変わっても、ダウンロード、インストールさせて頂くだけで、メールアドレス等の設定をすれば使えますので、敢えてユーザー名やパスワードを登録した記憶がございません？
結局、「その他」を選んだらPINを入れることによってパスワードは見られたのですが。 後でパスワードマネージャーのリストを見てもThunderbird は載っていませんでした。じゃあ、パスワードマネージャーは何というユーザー名を入れたのか？判らず気になります💦
Thunderbird が「メールアドレスのユーザー名」でなく？、単に「ユーザー名」と聞いてきた場合、何を入力すれば良いのでしょう？ 登録した複数のメールアドレスの中のどれかを入力すれば良かったのでしょうか？
その後、Googleから本人確認をしてきましたので、Gmailのパスワードを入れ、スマホで「はい、私です」をクリックしたら、ThunderbirdでもGmailの受送信が出来るようにはなりました。
ただ、もし、Thunderbird ソフトに対するユーザー名とパスワードがあるのなら、なんとかしないといけませんので、お尋ねしております。（初めてThunderbird を使わせていただいた頃のメールアドレスはスパムの為に削除して無くなっております。）

That is correct; Thunderbird is free and there is no registration needed or even available. Anytime you receive a request for a password or id, it is coming from your email provider. Thunderbird serves only as the messenger.

Google assigns a unique password to each third party client, so the password that works online will not work on a PC with an email ciient, such as thunderbird. Instead, gmail prompts for your online password and then applies an 'app' password to your thunderbird account. My suggestion is to go to settings>privacy&security, click to show passwords and then delete the rows associated with the Gmail account. Be sure also that you have thunderbird set to allow cookies (also at privacy&security). Then, when Gmail prompts for password, enter your online password. Also, user id should be your full gmail address.

あのときに聞かれた「ユーザー名」というのは、Thunderbirdが要求したのではなく、googleがユーザー名とパスワードを要求したのですか。。。では、パスワードマネージャーが入力したのは、gmailのユーザー名とログインパスワードだったのですね。
＞Gmailアカウントに関連付けられた行を削除することをお勧めします。
パスワードを変更する為に、まず古いパスワードを消そうとして。。。gmailの行を削除してしまって慌てたのですが、結果的にそれが良かったのですね；
「サイトから送られてきた Cookie を保存する」が有効になっていることを確認しました。 そして、Thunderbirdソフトに対するユーザー名やパスワードの登録は、やはり無いのですね？
