Can Thunderbird Open Links in Browser Other Than OS Default?

Hi. Chrome is my current default Windows browser, which I'm fine with. I'm using Thunderbird as my mail client for a work email, and would like to open those work links in Firefox (or Edge, or anything other than Chrome). I've followed instructions that I've found from Google (Config Editor, network.protocol-handler...etc), but it always defaults to Chrome. It never asks which browser I'd like to use. And in Thunderbird's File Contents Types and Attachments, for https, it will only show Chrome. I cannot choose any other browser or program.

Is this just not possible? Or is this a bug? Or am I just doing it wrong?
