thunderbird hangs forever on send when "Copying message to Sent folder"

When a message is sent it should automatically be saved in the sent folder, . However the message is sent and is then won,t saves to the sent folder but just keeps trying and never succeeds. No error message is received .

Many thanks for the replies. I have however solved the problem by changing from 1st option, place on sent folder, to other folder and inserted sent - now works perfectly.

Try subscribing again to see 'Sent' folder. Right clickon imap mail account in Folder Pane and select 'Subscribe' click on 'Refresh' select 'Sent' folder click on 'Subscribe' clickon 'OK'

thanks your solution works, after many hours of struggling. I would never have thought such a change would have made any difference.

Do Tbird support know this problem, I wonder?
