My thunderbird e-mail crashed yesterday. I tried all day to fix it no luck. can I have some client support?

My e-mail stopped working yesterday. I checked with the server and messages are coming in on the server but not to my boxes. Can't send either. Worked with the server for a couple of hours and we couldn't solve the problem. It appears its something to do with thunderbird. Can someone help me?
