
all versions thunderbird after 24_8_1 upgrade but we lose mailboxes and addons are not active

Hi there We have had this issue for about 3months and with 3 separate systems (win8.1 64bit).
1. When you reach vers24_8_1 thunderbird tells you are up to date. 2. You then manually download any version from 31_0 to 31_3 and install. 3. All install but all mailboxes have disappeared on interface as well the add on buttons is inactive? 4. Suspect there is issue with permissions, or 32/64bit issue, Microsoft has changed something? 5. Over this period of time we have tried many things including, upgrading in safe mode, uninstalling thunderbird including ccleaner for registry, adding extra permissions on thunderbird folders etc; but nothing works. 6. You then reinstall from Mozbackups any version from 24_8_1 and back and Thunderbird works every time!!!
