Lately a gray popup box that states "download" appears when I am sending a message on Shaw's webmail. It appears over top of the font menu when the cursor is placed over it. I haven't clicked on it but I have looked at the string of crap that it contains...here it is.

What is this and why is it only happening in Firefox? It doesn't occur with other browsers. How do I get rid of it? I erased all of my history and cache, deleted Firefox and then downloaded a fresh version of Firefox but it still shows up??

Try to boot your Mac in Safe Mode.

The reboot with Safe Mode didn't work. This is an issue with just Firefox and I have discovered that it isn't just with Shaw email where the "download" box shows up. This is definitely a Firefox related virus of some kind. I have switched over to Safari and no issues.

Hello cor-el,

I thought that I didn't have iTube Studio installed but I was able to find it as an extension. Once I deleted it, the problem disappeared!

Great advise and assistance!!

Thanks!
