Everytime I install an update, I loose all the entries in my address book and all my archives files. I am currently at 91.11.0 (32-bit). This has happened for several months of updates.

Latest update 102.1 lost some of my mailboxes!

Hi Thunderbird updated itself to 102.1(and now 102.1.1) and it lost 2 of my mailboxes or at least the inboxes. I have tried repair folder in the preferences for each inbox. The inboxes are greyed out. The location in the preferences, imap://driver_al%40*********@pcluster02.stablehost.com/INBOX, takes me now where or at least I can not find it. It is does not even seem like it is checking for new mail in those boxes.

I have a total of 11 mailboxes of mixed imap and pop. Only 2 seem to be effected both imap. I have looked in the profiles folder but do not seem to find them there as the folder names do not match the mailbox names..

With just 2 email addresses that I have been using for years, I suddenly get this Undeliverable message when attempting to send emails using Thunderbird:

"The mail client submitted this message with bare line feeds, which cannot be sent via SMTP protocol DATA command and receiving system does not support BDAT"

I can receive emails from the 2 addresses fine, I just can't send to them through Thunderbird. When I sign in to Hotmail Outlook Live I can send and receive to these addresses with no problem.

I'm stumped! Any ideas? Can I reset Thunderbird?

I want to talk with a Thunderbird agent for help. I'm not sure if this is the right way to communicate. Thank you for responding. I finally did get the help I needed when I returned home from travelling. A local business uses Thunderbird on a Mac like me. "Ionos", which hosts my website and web mail that goes to Thunderbird helped me on line to put in changes they require but that did not work for me. And I lost all my email except for the last week. Also mail wasn't coming into Thunderbird. It turns out my Avast had something to do with the muck up. It took 2 hrs. to solve the problem. My husband Uri Cogan passed on last Nov. He set me up with Thunderbird and took care of everything related to my computer. He was a volunteer helping here. Without him I am slowly learning what I can. I am finding out that most people don't really know anything outside their lane and any friend I asked was as clued out as I am.

I was told to reboot my system to complete a Thunderbird update.

After the system came up, my main email account wouldn't display. It was there when I went into account setting but wouldn't show. After closing an opening Tbird several times it showed up. now none pf my filters are running. In some cases it says the folder doesn't exist when it does! Most of the rules are missing actions!

What's up guys???

Message: Login to server outlook.office365.com with username xxxxxxx@xxxxxxx.com (my work email account set up thru GoDaddy) failed.

This is not my primary method for using my work email (Gmail's webmail interface is and, yes, still works fine). But every once in a while, I want to use the features of TBird that aren't possible with Gmail. So, I tried running TBird last weekend and got that message. So, first I tried signing in thru GoDaddy (O365 webmail) and used my existing password, and of course it worked fine. I then tried deleting the TBird account and adding it as new. TBird recognizes O365 accounts and I used those settings but, again, the password was rejected. So I went semi-nuclear and uninstalled TBird then reinstalled it. NO DIFFERENCE.

WHY is TBird rejecting my valid password - ESPECIALLY when it was working before?

Please pardon the raised voice all caps here and there - I'm really frustrated and don't understand what broke or how it broke and I can't fix it.

Accounts no longer consolidated in INBOX view

Until yesterday I could click on 'Inbox' and it would shows all emails from all 3 accounts I have set up. There was an update yesterday (102 1.2) Now although I can go to each email account individually, when I click on 'Inbox' it only shows emails for one account.

It also seems that search is also not functioning across accounts.

There is a context menu entry that enables message fetching for individual folders and an about:config setting for doing it for all folders. There is some speculation in a different question that this is necessary to avoid overloading servers.

Is this true and still appropriate? How can I as a user tell what I can set this to?

From a UX point of view it would definitely be better to just check all folders for new mail.

Today Thunderbird auto updated to 102.2.0 (32-bit) on Win7 64bit, have been using Thunderbird for many years.

When you search in the email for something theresults are show as usual and you might have 100 hits Then normal if you click the "Show result as list" you will have a list with..... 100 item where it's fast to pick the one you need.

After today update the "Show results as list" are empty except if the a mail in from today.

Is this kind of a new settings I will need to tweek to see all the results as list or is it a bug?

Please advise

How often does 102.0 update? It appears to update every ten seconds by my estimation because every time I launch it updates before loading. I can close it and open it sec… (pročitajte više)

Is this some bug that it keeps updating no matter how many times a day I may open or close the program?

Should it just check and remain silent if there is no update?

I am going to turn off updates until I know why it does this. Never had this issue with prior versions.

Hi, Up to previous version (TB 101), I could send emails to any group from my MacOSX contact list which appeared in send field and I used this all the time to select mailing lists. Now the send to a group fills automatically like before, but sending fails with message "groupname <grouname> is not a valid address" Maybe, if it cannot be fixed soon, and the new address book does not feature MacOSX group sending I wsih to get back to previous version of TB where it worked fine. I have Thunderbird 102.2.1 (64bit) on a pc win 10. Today it stopped working properly. when opened, the window is white and blank. yet, when i hover the mouse over it, i am able to select from the tab buttons at the top. the only way that i can see thunderbird normally is if i put it into troubleshooting mode. my business depends on thunderbird to work, so please help.
