I keep getting notifications that I need to purchase antivirus McAvee and that I have several virus that need to be taken care of. My McAvee account I did not renew this year nor do I desire to at anytime in the near future. I want to know why Firefox keeps sending me messages to purchase it. I would appreciate an answer so I know that my options are. Thanks you.

Hi Celeste, are you having this problem on your Windows PC or on your Android device?

In some cases, you may simply be seeing ads in web pages based on deception: the pages don't know the security status of your computer, they just try to scare you into spending money.

In other cases, one of your add-ons could be generating the ads. In that situation, it's best to remove the add-on. The method differs between Android and Windows, so let us know what platform has the problem.
