in this reference https://www.computerhope.com/issues/ch000063.htm#firefox it indicates that you can add, change or delete saved passwords by selecting the hamburger menu (3 parallel lines) followed by Preferences > Privacy and Security then navigate down to Forms and Autofill. However, in this version (FF 88.0.1 (64 bit) for Ubuntu), there is no such option listed.

I have some mistaken email addresses saved in the system (somewhere) which I would like to correct/delete as appropriate but am having an issue finding them.

Is there a hidden option somewhere in the system where I can access these to make the necessary amendments?

You can try to edit this pref on the about:config page and set its value to 'on' (without the quotes).

  • extensions.formautofill.available = on

You can open the about:config page via the location/address bar. You can click the button to "Accept the Risk and Continue".

Try the Firefox version from the official Mozilla server if you currently use a version from the repositories of your Linux distribution.

Entering about:config and setting extensions:formautofill.available = on allowed the option to appear in Preferences as outlined Thank you but it has not resolved the issue. Setting to on indeed gives access but there is nothing stored there so I entered a valid email address by adding a record. I then went back to the site previously used requesting an email address and there were no email addresses stored to use. Next step was to remove the address I entered at the step above and retry and this time it recalled all the incorrect email addresses. So my question remains: where are these incorrect email addresses being stored? They don't appear in Preferences > Forms and Autofill.
