I get a pop up message from KAspersky saying Cannot grantee authenticity of the domain to which encrypted connection is established. Aplication: Microsoft widows operating system UR: pop.frisinger.net Reason: Invalid name of certificate. Ether the name is not on the allowed list or was explicitly excluded. My email address is a pop3 account with fatcow as the hosting company.

I have a folder called pop.frisigner.net here: C:\Users\SOP\AppData\Roaming\Thunderbird\Profiles\a5mmku6w.default\Mail\pop.frisinger.net There are also 2 shortcuts to the folder elsewhere in my system. I do not get this error on my iphone.

Did not address my problem

You are being asked to provide additional diagnostic information. So of course if does not fix your problem.

The source of your problem could be your mail provider having an invalid certificate, it could be Kaspersky or it could be a number of other things. So either provide the information requested or disable email scanning in Kaspersky. That will stop the message, but it will not do anything to fix the problem or answer the question of what the problem really is.

Never post any personal information because an adware robot could find it, and start sending you all kinds of spam. This includes e-mail, phone, and home information.

Please remove that information from your post.

The problem turned out to be on the host end.

It may not be there ether. The host had me reinialize my e-mail which deleted all my saved messages and did not fix the problem.

I suspect I need to use a different e-mail problem as the other programs I use to not have this problem.

jThe problem is with your anti virus, not Thunderbird , not your host. Your security software is scaring you about something it can not fix and which represents no real risk. Take you query to kaspersky and ask them to fix their alerts.

This is a possibility and I will pursue it but kaspersky does not have problems with other e-mail programs.

I have an identical problem. After testing, I came to the problem that the connection between Kaspersky and the enigmail + wingpg module. If I turn off enigmail, there is no message about the domain. When I turn on the enigmail module, the message appears. The problem is missing in version 18 and earlier in Kaspersky. The problem occurs in version 19.
