Blue Screen Of Death while watching YouTube videos in Firefox
Hi,
I've recently switched from Chrome to Firefox 57. Mostly this change has been smooth and a direct improvement, but there is one bug that's really irritating me. I generally watch about 90 minutes of YouTube per day, and sometimes (maybe once every 4 days) this crashes my computer.
During a crash, the first thing to happen is that the video freezes. The audio continues playing, but the picture stops moving. About 2-3 seconds after that, I can no longer move the mouse. 20-30 seconds later, the audio stops. 2-4 minutes later, I get the BSOD. (I've also reproduced this on Windows 10 Insider Build, where I get a Green Screen Of Death)
The STOP Code is DPC_WATCHDOG_VIOLATION. When I turn my PC back on after, Event Viewer has an item saying "The computer has rebooted from a bugcheck. The bugcheck was: 0x00000133 (0x0000000000000001, 0x0000000000001e00, 0xfffff800f788d370, 0x0000000000000000). A dump was saved in: C:\WINDOWS\MEMORY.DMP. Report Id: abe2fac6-6144-4fcf-b54c-4f8ccfc9e62a."
I never encountered this issue in Chrome, so I think it must be a Firefox bug.
Some PC specs: CPU: Ryzen 7 1800X GPU: GTX 1080Ti RAM: G.Skill Trident Z F4-3200C16D-16GTZR x2 @2933MHz
Thanks!

Does this happen when watching other website videos?
Just to be safe; You may have ad/mal-ware. Further information can be found in this article; https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/troubleshoot-firefox-issues-caused-malware?cache=no
Run most or all of the listed malware scanners. Each works differently. If one program misses something, another may pick it up.
Your System Details shows you are using a beta version. Beta may have unknown problems.

Hi,
So far it's only happened on YouTube, but I don't watch videos that much on other platforms and the issue only occurs fairly rarely, so it's very possible that the issue would happen on other sites if I watched more videos elsewhere.
Done a scan, everything's clean. I only built the computer about a month ago so it's pretty much brand new.
I am using a beta version and I know it can have unknown problems. I was trying to report a bug, but I think I put it in the wrong place.
Thanks!
https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/update-firefox-latest-version?cache=no You can install Firefox latest version 56
I'd rather wait until the bug is fixed. Quantum is the reason I switched to Firefox, if I wanted a slower browsing experience I'd switch back to Chrome. :P
