Thunderbird freeze while refreshing a specific CalDAV calendar

Hello,

My Thunderbird 38.3.0 (from Ubuntu 15.10 repositories) freezes on startup since a few days, unless I disable Lightning module using the safe mode. I tried waiting 10 minutes, Thunderbird keeps frozen.

I found out that the issue seems related to a CalDAV calendar: if I remove it, the issue appears no more. I also tried to add only this calendar on a brand new profile, on a freshly downloaded Thunderbird 38.4.0 from mozilla.org: again, the application completely freezes as soon as I enter my calendar credentials and that Thunderbird starts refreshing the calendar.

After enabling calendar.debug.log, what I get from startup to freeze is below (where "CALENDAR_xxx" are placeholders).

Would somebody understand what causes the problem? Thank you very much for your help!
