This morning, there was a message that firefox needed to be updated. Since I don't like (or use) Google Chrome or IE, I unchecked those options as part of the update. Once the update was completed, all of my bookmarks and folders were gone. Is there ANY way to either recover the missing items OR restore/roll back to the firefox browser I was already using?

Hi, first open bookmarks > Show All Bookmarks > Import and Backup >Restore, and see if you have a backup there.

If not, please see - Profiles - Where Firefox stores your bookmarks, passwords and other user data, and Recovering important data from an old profile.

If your question is resolved by this or another answer, please take a minute to let us know. Thank you.

First, thank you for trying. Second, it seemed like the old firefox data was gone. Third, it has been corrected by way of the update not being completed, after all.
